MR in her natural state

Mary had little time for fashion and decorum when it interferred with something she was working on. We often find her wandering across the Downs dressed in an old pair of her father's trousers and one of his shirts and carrying her latest reading material. Elsewhere we are told she had a deadly accurate throwing arm whether it was stones, darts or the small throwing knife she carried in a sheath in her boot.
